Rebecca Rondeau, LICSW, MLADC —
EMDR Certified, IFS Level 1 Trained Trauma Therapist
Telehealth Therapy for Adults, Teens, and Couples Across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Illinois, and Florida
I'm Rebecca Rondeau, LICSW, MLADC, a trauma therapist with 20+ years of experience. I'm EMDR certified and an approved consultant through EMDRIA; and IFS Level 1 trained. I provide telehealth therapy to adults, teens, and couples across nine states. But credentials only tell part of the story…
Am I the right fit for you?
The road to self-discovery is scary, and you're already taking the first step by looking for the right therapist.
This is an important investment. You want someone who will actually understand you, not recite a technique at you.
My approach is deeply personal. I work with each person to understand how they've been shaped by the stories of their life and their history. From there, we uncover what's truly possible.
Rebecca is an empathic provider who will work with you to identify your goals.
Who I Work With
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety and depression
Grief and loss
Life transitions and identity shifts
Family conflict and relationship stress
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Patterns that keep repeating no matter how hard you try to change them
Many of my clients come in having already tried to figure it out on their own. They're smart, self-aware, and still stuck. That's exactly where this work begins.
“It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.”
― Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind
The power of stories
I believe strongly in the power of our stories.
From a very young age, we all start learning things about ourselves and our world. Those early “life lessons” become the stories we repeat to ourselves, over and over, until they feel like facts.
Until they feel like us.
But they are often not true. They are stories we created when we were young, retold to ourselves in a weird game of telephone with one player.
Therapy is where we finally interrupt that loop.
Rebecca will work with you to dig deep while feeling safe and confident in the process.
I work with people to help them unfold the stories of their lives
We identify what is helpful and what is causing harm, and work to move forward. I believe there is a significant connection between the mind and the body. Using my trauma-centered approach, we will work to move through the things that hold you back. We will step down into the self and explore the "you" that is there. Discovering all the hidden strengths within your core.
How I work
My specialty is trauma-informed, body-centered care. I blend evidence-based modalities to meet you where you are.
At the foundation of my work is Internal Family Systems (IFS) — a model that helps us understand why you do what you do, feel what you feel, and get stuck where you get stuck. I am IFS Level 1 trained and have served as a Program Assistant for IFS Level 1 trainings through the IFS Institute.
When trauma needs direct attention, I'm EMDR certified through EMDRIA and trained in Flash, Progressive Counting, and EFT. I also draw on ACT, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and body-centered approaches as needed.
I don't have a single script I run everyone through. My style is flexible. My goal is to find what actually works for you.
“To love yourself is to recognize your body and to release tension in your body. To allow yourself to be nourished by feelings of joy, feelings of happiness.”
—Thich Nhat Hanh
At 18, I began my career in health and human services, providing outreach services to at-risk youth in Boston, Massachusetts. I earned my BA from Clark University, majoring in Sociology, Psychology, and Human Development. I went on to complete my Master's in Clinical Social Work at Boston College in 2004.
Over 20+ years, I have provided therapy at almost every level of care, working with individuals across the lifespan, as well as with couples, and families.
Along the way, helping others heal from trauma became my deepest focus. I'm EMDR certified as well as an Approved Consultant, and IFS Level 1 trained. I will continue developing my skills because my clients deserve a clinician who keeps growing.
In both my professional and personal life, I value connection and tranquility. As a mother of three, my family and I have made our home in the woods of New Hampshire, which, despite what that might sound like, is anything but quiet.
How I became the provider I am today.
Removing the roadblocks to Quality Care.
I chose telehealth intentionally, not as a compromise, but as a commitment.
Too many people don't get care because of commute times, scheduling conflicts, childcare, or simply the exhaustion of adding one more thing to a full life. I don't want geography or logistics to be the reason you don't heal.
With secure, HIPAA-compliant video therapy, you get quality trauma-informed care from wherever you are — whether that's New Hampshire, Florida, or anywhere in between.
